Rui Martins, MSc
Senior Health Economist
Rui is a health economist with 4-year experience in economic modelling, systematic reviewing and data analytics.
After having completed a MSc in Public Health and Health Economics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Rui worked for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) where he developed economic models to inform recommendations in the context of clinical and social care guidelines. At NICE he also gained expertise in interventional procedures and use of medical devices, having produced several systematic reviews to inform national guidance.
Before his career in research, Rui worked for over 10 years as a specialist critical care nurse in the UK and Portugal having special interests in Tropical Medicine, neurotrauma and cardiovascular surgery.
